Due to limitations imposed by MiTAI we can use this work around to deliver a caller to a eternal mailbox.

What we can do is in the prefix of the VistaPoint Mitel SIM transfer to voicemail configuration we put an (example) 8 and nothing in any of the other fields such as hunt group or suffix.  This will try and transfer a call to 8 plus the four digit extension you are highlighting in the desktop application (example) 8XXXX. 

We then create a “phantom extension” on a “phantom pkm or card” of everyone’s (example) 8XXXX (XXXX being their individual extensions) then routing them immediately to voicemail. 

On the AVST you must create a second extension of these 8xxxx numbers on their mailbox so it knows to pick up the call.

This does require a lot of additional administering but it does work.
