VistaPoint Enterprise Technology - is a
client/server suite of software applications that
make use of presence and call control to deliver robust
user-friendly applications. Our technology is ubiquitous to the
hardware allowing support of disparate system deployments.
iQ’s technology can be categorized into
six different components:
- Presence and Control Engine (PCE)
– State Engine
- System Interface Modules (SIMs) –
3Com, Mitel, Cisco, Siemens, Mobile, SIP, Analog etc.
- Applications – Console and Desktop
Companions, DeskBar, and Corporate Directory
- Plug-ins – Outlook Companion
- SDK/APIs and Interfaces –
Proprietary, HTTP, CSTA Phase III XML, SIP/SIMPLE
- Agents/Applets – MIDLets residing
on mobile devices
The SIM is the component that serves as
an interface between a monitored device (frequently a VoIP PBX)
and the PCE. The SIM’s primary function is to translate the
internal VistaPoint PCE commands and events into commands and
events that the PBX can understand. Additionally, the SIM
provides PBX-specific administrative control, to let the
administrator manage the way the PCE interfaces to that
particular PBX. In general, these SIMs may be categorized by the
API they use to communicate with the PBX:
- TAPI
- TSAPI / CSTA
- Proprietary
- SIP
- HTTP/Other

HP VCX
and VCX Connect -
This is a SIP-based interface that communicates with the VCX to
obtain real-time events and to pass call control commands to the
system for processing. We also offer a TAPI interface for
customers that have deployed TAPI-based applications.
Cisco
Unified Communications Manager - Our suite of applications
complement Cisco UCM deployments by providing customers with a
choice of desktop solutions.
Mitel 3300 ICP -
The Mitel SIM is fully compatible with MiTAI so that our client
applications can be deployed across multiple Mitel 3300 systems. Our
VistaTSP replaces MiTSP and meets the requirements needed to support
TAPI-based applications.
